OLIVET, Mich. - The University of Olivet will welcome four new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The Class of 2025 will induct Kelsey Campbell '14, who played women’s basketball, Stefanie (Lang) Smith ’15, who played women’s volleyball and basketball, Theresa (Damico) Underhill ’14, who was on women’s golf team, and Jalen Weaver ’15, who ran cross-country and track and field.

“One of the best point guards that I ever coached. Her passing was top-notch, and I haven't seen many female players who could pass as well as she did. Very competitive and wanted to win and always made sure she involved her teammates,” said former women’s assistant basketball coach, Sharona Hurd about Kelsey Campbell.

Campbell started in 77 games over her three-year career at Olivet, scoring 800 points while shooting 36.9% from the field.

“Very skilled post player. Very versatile, with great hands and footwork,” said Hurd about Stefanie Smith.

Smith played in 69 career games for the basketball team, scoring over 1,000 points on 49.6% from the field. In terms of her volleyball career, she played in 83 matches, scored over 900 points, and had over 800 kills.

“It’s awesome for the program to be recognized and for them to be recognized for their hard work,” said head women’s basketball coach, Peter Sabiiti.

Underhill was named All-MIAA four times, First Team from 2011-2013, and Second Team in 2010. She was named a Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American in 2013 and named MIAA Most Valuable Golfer in 2012.

Weaver was the first NCAA Indoor All-American in program history, a two-time All-MIAA selection for outdoor track and field, and is the school record holder in the 600m, 800m, and 1000m.

“He was a well-rounded athlete who could do any event, who was willing to do anything for the team. He was a true team player,” said head cross country and track and field coach,

Karen Lutzke.

The inductees will be honored on Friday, Sept. 26, at the alumni award's dinner as well as at the pregame ceremony at the homecoming football game against Adrian College on Sept. 27.
