Tonya Bailey to Speak Over Zoom for Black History Month

The Office of Student Engagement has announced the theme for Black History Month for Olivet College: “Struggle Comes Strength: Celebrating Activism in Black History.”

Featured speaker will be Tonya Bailey, who will present “Brave Enough! Getting into Good, Necessary Trouble” on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m. live on Zoom. The Zoom link is here:


Bailey is a conference speaker, workshop presenter, and personal development coach/trainer. She is also a corporate consultant and executive educational advisor with over 20 years of experience in higher education and in the non-profit sector.

A Flint native, Bailey studied at the University of Michigan, and received her doctorate in educational development at Central University. She is involved in a number of non-profit concerns.
