The Service Learning Department is bringing a group of 10 people to Puerto Rico during the ILT. Olivet will be working with All Hands and Hearts program in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. The trip will be from April 28 to May 6.

The cost will be about $800. Organizers said the price is not set and is subject to change. The volunteer work will include repairing cement roofs and mold sanitation.

After volunteering, the group will spend a weekend in San Juan for some rest and relaxation.

For information, contact Jacob Richards, Community Service coordinator at jrichards@olivetcollege.edu. There is a $350 deposit due Jan. 25.

In September 2017, Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico. While most of the power to the island has been restored, All Hands still has close to 2,000 homes on the list to restore.
