While the Women’s Board of Olivet College has been around since 1859, scholarships were a later addition to the group’s mission. But, since 1935, scholarships have been the focus and work of the membership, with more than $350,000 given to qualified Olivet College students over the years.

The one-page scholarship application is now available and students have until March 5 to complete the form. Requirements are listed on the application, including a 3.5 gpa. Scholarship amounts vary each year.

Applications are available in the Student Services Office, or by emailing board member Joanne Williams at jwilliams@olivetcollege.edu.

Funds for the scholarship come mostly through the Women’s Board thrift shop, the Oak Chest, located in downtown Olivet and staffed by volunteers.
