Out of the Darkness Walk Goes Virtual for 2021

On Saturday, April 10, the marching comets held the 4th annual Out of the Darkness walk to raise money for mental health and suicide prevention. Over the previous 3 years, they were able to raise over 30,000 dollars for mental health and suicide prevention.

The Olivet College marching comets live streamed the walk and all partnered ceremonies at 10 a.m. on Facebook and at @occcometbands. You can also register/donate to the cause at https://www.asfp.org/olivetcollege

The event was highly successful even though it was online because of COVID-19. Olivet College was able to reach hundreds of people online. It began with an Olivet Comets Marching band performance. There were many recording of information and testimonies throughout the day.

To the current date they have raised 7,500 dollars of their 10,000-dollar goal. Olivet College will continue to fundraise through June 30th.

Again, you can go to https://www.asfp.org/olivetcollege to register/donate to the cause. Help Olivet College meet their goal of 10,000 dollars for mental health campaign.
