Oli-Day Celebration Dec. 1

The Olivet Chamber of Commerce and area businesses and organizations have a day of activities, food and entertainment planned Saturday, Dec. 1, during Oli-Day, which welcomes in the Christmas season.

The guest of honor, Santa Claus, arrives at noon at the Nelson Building, the corner of Washington and First streets.

A 5k run starts at 7 a.m. at the high school, with registration on-site, and a pancake breakfast is being held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kirk Center at Olivet College.

The following businesses will be hosting events, offering goodies and greeting customers: Seasonal Inspirations Gift Shop, Willow Tree Bakery, Health Simplified, Eaton Federal Savings Bank, Independent Bank, Harton House and Farm, Shore to Shore Graphics, Streets Eats, and Whitetail Farms Farm Fresh Market. Mayor Laura Barlond-Maas will be in her office to greet folks from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
