Choir Concert April 20

The Olivet College Choir will host and feature area high school singers when it holds a performance Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Olivet Congregational Church.

Choir Director Kyle Zeuch and his students will be rehearsing with and spending the day on campus with singers from allover the state. Those visitors will then join the choir in a special, free performance that evening, open to the public.

The concert caps a month packed with arts performances and events. Early in April, adjunct instructor Will Sutton wasfeatured in a reciltal on the euphonium. Last week, the Olivet Jazz Ensemble and the Olivet Wind Ensemble performed as well. And the band program helpd a fund-raiser to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The April 14event was held to raise awareness of mental health issues, and to raise national and local dollas. The local dollars will stay oncampus to help fund suicide prevention initiatives here. The event surpassed its goal of $5,000 even before it was held.
