Homecoming 2018 - Weeklong Events Begin Sept. 24

This year’s Homecoming begins Monday, Sept. 24 as the college also celebrates its 175th anniversary. A number of special events are planned this year, in addition to the favorites, including Tuesday’s Midnight Breakfast in the Kirk Center.

Have you ever seen a hot balloon inflated and then illuminated after dark? See it Tuesday Sept. 25, at 9:30 p.m. on Blair Lawn.

Do you love reworks? Thursday, Sept. 27, at 10 p.m., Cutler Field, reworks kick off Olivet’s 175th Anniversary. There will also be a pre-fireworks band performance at 9:45 p.m., Cutler Field.

How’s your OC Spirit? Watch for Spirit Week posters around campus. Any faculty, staff , or student dressed in the theme of the day can check in at the KC during lunch for the giveaway of the day.

Do you love the thrill of competition? You may enjoy being a spectatorfor the first annual Comet Challenge, a week-long series of competitions among student teams, culminating in the winning team being announced during the football game on Saturday. Look for the on-campus posters to see what each day’s challenges are.

Are you interested in the past, present, and future of Olivet College through the eyes of its leadership? Join us Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Cutler Event Center for the President’s Panel, a moderated look at OC’s history featuring Drs. Don Tuski (2001-2010), Michael Bassis (1993-1998), and Ray Loeschner (1970-1977), moderated by President Steven Corey.

The football game, at 2 p.m. versus Finlandia, will be preceded by a marching band pre-game show.
