Open Mic night with 'B Sturg'

On Feb. 4, 2017 the Olivet College Black Student Union (BSU) hosted an Open Mic Night with special guest ‘B Sturg’ a local hip-hop artist from Marshall, Michigan performing in the lower level of the Kirk Center on Olivet's campus. This event had a turnout of 49 people that signed into the event provided by the BSU. This event wasn’t popular within the student community at Olivet but instead over half of the events attendance came from people outside of the community of Olivet. Visitors came from all across the state of Michigan more particular from Marshall, Albion, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Lansing.
