Comet swimmers and divers did more than practice on Nov. 10. That afternoon at the Upton pool, 15 team members participated in Olivet's 10th annual Hour of Power Relay for Sarcoma Research.
The hour-long event is held at schools across the country to honor cancer victims and survivors, as well as raise funds for the Ted Mullin's "Leave it in the Pool" effort. This year, more than 180 teams and 8,000 athletes were expected to participate.
At Olivet, students, staff and parents and friends were on hand to cheer the swimmers on.
Donations were sought, and given. Funds are used to support cancer research.
