We celebrate many holidays that may have, perhaps, lost meaning in society. Retailers have focused our advertising around holiday seasons and push the idea that we have to give the best gifts (I’ve Christmas decorations out as early October). Pressures from retailers, and lending services, have given society the impression of the wrong meaning behind holidays with profound meaning.

Feminist Ethics

Ethical feminism is a fine line. You must ask when does fighting the oppression of women and equality cross the line into radicalism. Genuine feminism is sometimes over taken by the “Gender Wars” or “Man Hater” feminist. There is the continuous argument of what “freedom” means to women.
Who are you to judge?
Submitted by writeway73 on October 21, 2008 - 5:10pm.“Hungover today?” How many of Olivet College students belonging to Greek society on campus has heard this on a Wednesday when you just happen to be tired with an honest crisis or sickness keeping you from your best? I’ve had many a teachers assume I was hangover when I was a little under par in the morning. I felt demeaned and hurt, I was judged. Being judged isn’t something most people like to have done to them; it isn’t fair to assume things because we all know what assuming does….

A lot of college students are involved with athletics but there are a lot of ethical issues involved with sports. One of the ethical issues students are faced with is performance enhancing drugs.
